What is a Cricket Field?
A cricket field is an oval-shaped piece of grass where cricket is played.
In the middle of the oval it has a rectangular pitch.
The oval is normally covered in grass.
The pitch is called a cricket pitch and is normally grass but sometimes synthetic.
The grass is compacted in a special way by big grass rollers.
On the pitch, there are two sets of stumps at each end of the pitch & these are called the wickets.
This is where the game of cricket is played at a club level or above.
